Responsibilities

Structural analysis and design of structural systems to meet load and serviceability requirements as well as architectural design

Evaluate structural deficiencies and provide rationale solutions

Work with REVIT technicians to develop structural plans and details

Edit structural specifications

Perform construction phase services - review shop drawings and submittals, respond to contractor's requests for information, perform site visits, and write observation / field reports

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering

Professional Engineering (PE) licensure in a U.S. state

5+ years of industry experience in the following: Structural design of building projects from the initial concept through construction documents, Assessments of existing buildings, Design modification to existing buildings

Comprehensive understanding of structural engineering concepts, practices, and procedures

Competent in the design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structural components

Utilize structural analysis software to perform calculations and thoroughly interpret results to inform design decisions

Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications (Word / Excel) and working knowledge of Revit

Able to understand direction and communicate effectively through written documents, verbal instructions, and sketches

Familiar with interdisciplinary coordination with architects and other disciplines

Preferred

Master's degree in civil or structural engineering

Experience with RISA and Revit
