Responsibilities

Inventory Management: Oversee all aspects of the used car inventory, including acquisition, reconditioning, pricing, merchandising, and display
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales plans and processes to drive growth, increase profitability, and meet sales goals
Team Leadership: Lead, coach, train, motivate, and manage the used car sales team to ensure high performance and compliance with dealership policies
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a positive and personalized car-buying experience for every customer. Promptly and professionally handle any customer issues or concerns
Financial Performance: Monitor sales data, track key performance metrics, and manage the department's budget to maximize profitability
Market Awareness: Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and local market conditions to adjust strategies as needed
Dealer Relations: Work with dealers and wholesalers to acquire and negotiate for inventory

Required

Proven track record of success as an Automotive Used Car Sales Manager or in a similar sales management role
Minimum of three years of experience in automotive sales and acquisitions
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Expert knowledge of used car sales, dealership operations, and automotive financing
Strong proficiency with CRM software (e.g., VIN Solutions) and inventory management tools (e.g., VAuto, Kelly Blue Book, etc.)
Excellent negotiation and closing skills
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
