Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-10 software engineers and test engineers
Provide technical guidance and coaching to help team members expand their skills
Lead technical design reviews and provide guidance on complex technical challenges
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards
Maintain hands-on involvement in critical technical work (React, TypeScript, Node.js and C#/.NET)
Partner with Director of Development on strategic planning and technical roadmap
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces using React and modern frontend frameworks
Design & implement database schemas, queries, and optimizations for MySQL & Oracle databases
Qualification
Required
12+ years of professional software development experience
3-5+ years of direct people management experience leading software development teams
Strong technical expertise in full-stack development with proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
Solid experience with C# and ASP.NET Core development
Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
Demonstrated ability to balance technical leadership with people management responsibilities
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
Preferred
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle DB preferred)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, OCI)
Knowledge of modern development practices including CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and version control (Git)
