Mid LevelSunlarus Energy is seeking a versatile, technically-minded Solar Project Manager to lead residential and commercial projects from contract execution through final utility commissioning. In this role, you will manage technical design, financial oversight, and administrative coordination, while also building systems and workflows for future departments.

Responsibilities
Utilize design software to develop preliminary and final solar layouts
Partner with external engineers to produce and review stamped Plan Sets for AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) submission
Ensure all designs maximize energy production while maintaining strict compliance with local building codes, NEC standards, and fire setbacks
Coordinate with Electrical Contractor on the submission and tracking of all permits
Manage the complete Interconnection Application process with local Florida utilities (e.g., OUC, Duke Energy)
Maintain a real-time database of project statuses to ensure no project stalls in the administrative phase
Set and verify initial sales costs to ensure projects are technically feasible and priced for profitability
Track all project expenditures, including specialized equipment procurement, labor hours, and permitting fees
Analyze budget discrepancies to help the sales team refine future estimates and protect company margins
Own the master project calendar to ensure installation crews are deployed efficiently
Work with the warehouse team to ensure panels, inverters, and racking systems are staged and ready for every build
Help document and streamline these "bridge" responsibilities into standardized operating procedures (SOPs)
Qualification
Required
Versatile, technically-minded Solar Project Manager
Experience leading residential and commercial solar projects from contract execution through final utility commissioning
Ability to utilize design software to develop preliminary and final solar layouts
Experience partnering with external engineers to produce and review stamped Plan Sets for AHJ submission
Knowledge of local building codes, NEC standards, and fire setbacks
Experience coordinating with Electrical Contractors on the submission and tracking of all permits
Ability to manage the complete Interconnection Application process with local Florida utilities (e.g., OUC, Duke Energy)
Experience maintaining a real-time database of project statuses
Ability to set and verify initial sales costs for technical feasibility and profitability
Experience tracking all project expenditures, including specialized equipment procurement, labor hours, and permitting fees
Ability to analyze budget discrepancies for variance reporting
Experience owning the master project calendar for efficient deployment of installation crews
Ability to coordinate with warehouse teams for staging of panels, inverters, and racking systems
Experience documenting and streamlining responsibilities into standardized operating procedures (SOPs)
