Student Assistant -ORSP-Marketing and Communications
Inside Higher Ed is seeking a creative and detail-oriented student to support its communications and social media efforts within the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP). The role involves developing engaging digital content, promoting faculty research, and assisting with communication efforts across various platforms.

Responsibilities
Develop engaging digital content that can be shared across various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn)
Assist in planning, creating, and editing visual content (graphics, photos, videos)
Write and edit short form copy for social media, flyers, and web content
Assist in tracking social media metrics and engagement insights
Take photos and/or videos at campus events or research presentations
Help maintain a consistent tone and voice across ORSP platforms
Support other communication and office initiatives as needed
Qualification
Required
Must be a full-time, degree-seeking student (Communications, Graphic Design, or related field) in good academic standing
Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week (flexibility around class schedule)
Be available to attend occasional campus events that relate to research
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Exhibit a professional demeanor, reliability, punctuality, and initiative
Be a team player and represent ORSP in a respectful and mature manner

Preferred
Strong writing, proofreading, and storytelling skills
Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
Basic photo and/or video editing skills (CapCut, iMovie, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Student Classification: Sophomore or Junior
