Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day operations of research studies, including participant recruitment, enrollment, retention, and tracking systems to ensure timely data collection and follow-up
Support IRB submissions, modifications, and continuing review documents, ensuring regulatory compliance
Create and maintain study documentation, including recruitment materials, consent forms, and data collection instruments
Coordinate logistics for focus groups, qualitative data collection activities, and meetings with external partners and collaborators
Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to keep research studies on schedule
Organize, clean, and maintain research databases ensuring data quality, accuracy, and completeness
Perform statistical analyses using software such as SPSS and conduct qualitative data analysis using tools such as MaxQDA
Work with data from multiple sources (e.g., surveys, service records, administrative data) to support research analyses
Prepare summary tables, charts, figures, and data visualizations for reports and presentations
Monitor data collection processes, troubleshoot issues, and assist in preparing materials for conferences and stakeholder meetings
Conduct literature reviews and monitor relevant trends in oncology care, health equity, and patient-reported outcomes
Support development of research reports, white papers, briefs, grant proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Develop and maintain research protocols, standard operating procedures, and process documentation
Provide day-to-day guidance and supervision to research intern(s) or research assistant(s)
Coordinate with internal teams (Programs, Development, Communications, Data/SalesForce Ops) and external partners to integrate research activities and build collaborative relationships

Required

Demonstrated experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, SAS, Stata)
Strong data management and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Experience with IRB protocols and human subjects research
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset

Preferred

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Health Services Research, or related field
Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or social services research settings with knowledge of health equity and social determinants of health
Experience with qualitative analysis software (e.g., MaxQDA, NVivo), Salesforce or other CRM platforms, and longitudinal study design
Spanish language proficiency
Experience supervising/mentoring, drafting manuscripts for publication, or presenting at conferences
