The Defense Information Systems Agency is seeking an IT Cybersecurity Specialist to support the mission of the US Cyber Command. This role involves performing Defensive Cyber Operations, managing incident responses, and providing security for the DISA Enterprise.

Responsibilities

Performs the Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) mission on behalf of the Defense Information System Network and is an integral part of the DISA Cyber Security Service

Provide team providing services to mission partners and war fighters

Responsible for the intrusion detection, incident response, and countermeasure development and executing actions for the Global Infrastructure supporting the DoD, Services and Agencies

Implements, manages, maintains, and analyzes tactics, techniques, procedures (TTPs) and security requirements to protect the DISA Enterprise and the information stored within the enterprise

Provide Command and Control of DCO operations, incident response, security monitoring, cyber threats and related issues as well as prepare white papers, implementation plans and briefing support for senior leadership

This is a national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment

In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months

Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement

This position has been designated as 'Mission Essential.' Incumbent will be required to report to work or relocate to a new duty location, within the United States, in times of local/national emergency

Employee is subject to recall or call back during off-shift hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management

This position requires shift work

Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating the following competencies appropriate to, or above, the level of this position: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position

Qualifying experience is defined as: Assessing security risks and vulnerabilities; AND builds, tests, and recommends security solutions to ensure the continued operational availability and integrity of IT networks

All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement
