This role involves providing on-call production support, maintaining mobile applications, managing backend systems, and ensuring operational stability across cloud environments.

Responsibilities
Provide rapid on-call support for production systems, including diagnosing failures, resolving service interruptions, and deploying safe hotfixes
Maintain and extend mobile applications for iOS and Android, including managing releases via Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console
Support and debug web applications built on Vue, Nuxt, Node.js/TypeScript , ensuring high availability and performance
Manage cloud-hosted applications in AWS and Google Cloud , including log analysis, container updates, and secure configuration changes
Collaborate with Democratic Leadership technical staff and House Digital Service (HDS) to plan maintenance, updates, and app store submissions
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders during time-sensitive incidents
Qualification
Required
5+ years in full-stack engineering
1–3 years supporting production systems with mobile and web components
Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone for real-time availability
U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required
Background check and fingerprinting by U.S. Capitol Police prior to start
On-call availability, including after-hours triage when necessary
Frontend & Backend: Vue, Nuxt, Node.js/TypeScript
Mobile Development: Flutter or native workflows for iOS/Android
Cloud Operations: AWS and Google Cloud experience
Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis
DevOps: Docker, GitLab CI/CD
Middleware & Dashboards: Administrative dashboards and analytics interfaces
Security & Authentication: OAuth2/MSAL integrations and House APIs
Preferred
Experience supporting Democratic Leadership systems (e.g., DemCom, DomeWatch, Dome Directory, Resume Bank)
ETL or aggregation pipeline expertise for data processing
Knowledge of legislative workflows and leadership communications
Search system experience (OpenSearch/ElasticSearch)
