Responsibilities

Build and foster enduring client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor who understands the client’s specific business goals and challenges
Craft comprehensive account plans that map a course for long-term success and growth, fostering a strong partnership with the client
Play a key role in identifying new sales opportunities, collaborating with the sales team to develop winning proposals and closing deals
Proactively identify new service offerings and solutions to drive revenue growth while also monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track client satisfaction, project profitability, and revenue generation
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and key client developments, translating those insights into strategic recommendations
Contribute to the overall development of our account management function for Star

Required

Minimum Bachelor's degree - business, engineering, and marketing background is a plus
Minimum 5+ years of experience in client account management, business development, or a similar role in an HCLS consulting industry
Strong understanding of core Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) business processes and the technology ecosystem that supports them, including EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner), clinical trial platforms (CTMS, EDC, RTSM), pharmacovigilance and safety systems, regulatory and quality systems (eQMS, RIMS), and commercial/medical affairs tools (CRMs, MLR, medical information platforms)
Solid familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), API-based integrations, data platforms/lakes, analytics, and modern application architectures
Ability to translate HCLS customer needs into digital, data, and AI/ML solutions
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing client accounts
Experience leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, with the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment
Strong executive presence with the demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including senior executives and technical leaders
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex client dynamics
Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate

Preferred

The ability to identify and leverage emerging industry trends and technologies to create innovative solutions for clients
Exposure to real-world data/real-world evidence systems, interoperability frameworks (FHIR, HL7), payer/claims systems, and connected health/IoMT solutions
Understanding of GenAI and agentic AI applications in clinical, safety, and commercial workflows
Experience with regulatory compliance standards (HIPAA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) and emerging SaMD/AI-in-health guidelines
Familiarity with omnichannel engagement platforms, digital front-door solutions, and cloud cost-optimization practices in HCLS environments
Existing relationships with technical leaders and staff within HCLS Industry
Attendance at any leading HCLS industry events within the past year
Published thought leadership in any of the leading HCLS industry publications
