Responsibilities
Lead and mentor Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Software Engineers, and Data Engineers across multiple programs
Own delivery of complex, cross-team initiatives spanning SaaS platforms, scanning and warehouse automation systems, and data pipelines
Build a culture of execution discipline, accountability, and technical excellence in distributed engineering teams
Define and execute technical strategy and architectural standards for platforms that support automation, orchestration, and real-time system integration
Apply principles from robotics, fulfillment automation, and WMS environments, where software coordinates machines, data, and people
Guide modernization of systems toward cloud-native, API-driven, and event-based architectures
Drive CI/CD, DevOps, observability, reliability, performance, and security best practices
Leverage AI-informed workflows and data orchestration to improve system efficiency and operational visibility
Ensure platforms are built for scalability, resilience, and high-throughput operations
Partner closely with Product, Program, and Executive teams on roadmaps, sequencing, and release planning
Communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform evolution
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years leading multiple development teams as a Director or equivalent
Proven experience scaling distributed engineering organizations supporting SaaS platforms, automation systems, or data-driven products
Background in robotics-adjacent or warehouse automation environments, such as: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Scanning or fulfillment automation platforms, Robotics or automation orchestration software, AI-driven operational or control-plane systems
Strong experience with modern cloud architectures and Agile delivery models
Hands-on familiarity with React + Java production environments
Excellent communicator who can translate technical complexity into business impact
Preferred
Exposure to data orchestration platforms (e.g., AWS Glue, Airflow, Step Functions) is a plus
