Business Development Specialist / Sales Development Representative
Vaco by Highspring is seeking a motivated and curious individual to join their growing B2B manufacturing sales team. The Business Development Specialist / Sales Development Representative will focus on generating and advancing sales opportunities while supporting marketing initiatives, offering hands-on experience and direct exposure to various manufacturing customers.
Responsibilities
Research and identify target companies and decision-makers
Execute daily outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone
Write concise, engaging messages to sourcing managers, supply chain leaders, and engineers
Qualify prospects and schedule introductory meetings
Track activity, notes, and follow-ups in the CRM
Drive opportunities from initial outreach through booked meetings, collaborating with leadership while maintaining ownership of follow-up and pipeline
Assist with digital advertising campaigns and performance tracking
Make basic website updates (pages, images, service descriptions) using WordPress
Support landing page improvements for clarity and conversion
Track website traffic and inbound lead sources
Assist with LinkedIn posting and company visibility efforts
Qualification
Required
Comfortable using modern software and digital tools
Familiarity with CRM systems and structured follow-up processes
Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
Curious, proactive, and motivated to learn
Strong communication skills with professional and technical audiences
Preferred
Marketing or Business degree preferred
Recent college graduates (last few years) encouraged to apply
B2B sales or marketing experience
Exposure to manufacturing or engineering environments
Experience with WordPress, digital ads, or SEO basics
