Responsibilities

Plan, update, and oversee activities in compliance with laws, regulations, and standards

Encourage teamwork between operations, engineering, and project groups

Review control specifications and work practices

Manage control systems as defined in the Work Management Manual

Apply and follow work permits through the Permit To Work System (PTWS)

Ensure quality and timely completion of maintenance work

Develop personal and team technical skills related to regulations and equipment

Conduct technical meetings to keep technicians informed of specifications and technology

Maintain open communication on control issues with co-workers

Support work prioritization to maximize effectiveness

Provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting of instrument systems

Generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) for control-related equipment

Inspect new installations for consistency with mission and recommend upgrades

Act as a stand-in for the Instrument Lead position as needed
