Responsibilities

Drive measurable increases in organic leads, visibility, and conversions across SEO, Local, and AEO
Improve client retention through stronger strategy, execution, and clear performance storytelling tied to business outcomes
Partner closely with Account Management, Content, Web/Dev, Data Ops, and Paid Media teams to turn insights into integrated results
Lead end-to-end audits covering technical SEO, content, local search, AEO, and analytics
Produce clear, prioritized recommendations that connect directly to pipeline, revenue, or efficiency gains
Present audit findings alongside leadership during new business and upsell conversations (audits typically take 4–16 hours, depending on size and complexity)
Build and execute strategies to improve visibility in AI Overviews and other generative search and answer experiences
Lead entity optimization and structured data strategy to support AI-driven discovery and trust
Develop content and technical recommendations designed for answer retrieval, citation, and summarization across modern answer engines
Monitor and report on AI search visibility using emerging tools and platforms, and continuously refine New Path’s AEO framework as search evolves
Conduct technical audits and prioritize fixes related to crawlability, indexation, site structure, Core Web Vitals, and performance
Lead strategic on-page optimization and content planning in collaboration with internal and external writers
Own Local SEO strategy, including GBP optimization, location pages, citations, and review signals
Support authority-building efforts through digital PR, earned mentions, and other trust signals
Define and track KPIs using GA4, Google Search Console, and Looker Studio dashboards
Manage a part-time SEO specialist and contractors in year one, with potential to grow the team as the practice scales
Improve workflows, templates, QA standards, and delivery consistency across SEO and AEO engagements
Train internal teams on SEO and AEO best practices and champion a culture of testing and learning

Required

3+ years of SEO experience in a fast-paced agency environment, including ownership of multiple client accounts
Proven track record improving organic visibility and lead generation
Strong communicator who can confidently present strategy and results to clients and prospects
Data-driven mindset with deep experience in GA4, Google Search Console, and performance reporting
Hands-on SEO capability—you're comfortable diagnosing issues and implementing fixes when appropriate
Experience working directly in CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, or similar)
Practical experience with AEO, AI Overviews, or generative search strategy, and a demonstrated commitment to staying current as search evolves

Preferred

Experience with clients in law, home services, healthcare, higher education, or B2B
Experience supporting sales conversations or audit-to-close workflows
Prior mentoring or people management experience
Familiarity with AI search visibility and competitive monitoring tools
