Responsibilities

Basic Understanding of the key testing attributes and following the Work Practices in the Quality Assurance Manual

Reports processing problems or packaging line issues immediately to Production Supervisor and QA Manager

Reports packaging line problems or potential problems immediately to Production Supervisor and QA Manager

Collects retain samples at prescribed frequency and maintains samples in an organized fashion. Maintains adequate inventory of lab-prepared colors and flavors

Maintains lab work area in a clean and orderly fashion and performs calibration of lab equipment when assigned

Monitors critical control points (CCPs) for PH, water activity and metal detection

Follows and maintains awareness of the plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and reports anything which might have a negative impact

Follows Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) established by QA Manager and Safety guidelines established by plant management

Ensures quality, food safety 5S, OSHA, and HACCP support programs, assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards

Participates in activities related to Marzetti Operational Excellence

Basic science skills; math, accurate data collection, general lab, and computer data entry. Ability to be dependable and timely

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detailed oriented with the ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications

Ability to work independently on pre-assigned task and multi-task, organize job tasks and the workspace

Any and all other duties assigned due to business needs
