Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop the Enterprise Application Engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Manage team performance, including goal setting, performance reviews, career development, and succession planning
Build and retain a high-performing team through effective recruitment, onboarding, and talent development strategies
Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability structures within the application engineering organization
Collaborate with C-suite executives and business leaders to understand organizational goals and translate them into actionable technology strategies
Develop and maintain a comprehensive digital roadmap that aligns with business objectives and drives competitive advantage
Identify emerging technologies and digital trends that can create business value and recommend strategic investments
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of enterprise application platforms and solutions
Create and present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
Serve as a trusted advisor to business unit leaders, acting as the bridge between technology and business operations
Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to understand business challenges, priorities, and opportunities for digital enablement
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into technical specifications and project plans
Build strong relationships across the organization to ensure technology initiatives support business outcomes
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status, risks, and benefits effectively
Oversee the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications across the organization
Ensure application architecture aligns with enterprise standards, security requirements, and scalability needs
Manage the application lifecycle, including upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and retirement of legacy systems
Optimize application performance, reliability, and user experience
Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and coding guidelines
Lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from conception through delivery
Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocation strategies, and budgets for application development initiatives
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Implement agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices across the development organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
10+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing application development teams
Proven track record of successfully leading digital transformation initiatives and enterprise application implementations
Experience working with executive leadership and business stakeholders to define technology strategy
Expertise in modern application development methodologies including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices
Strong knowledge of enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and business intelligence platforms
Familiarity with integration technologies, APIs, microservices architecture, and data management
Exceptional leadership abilities with proven success building and developing high-performing teams
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand complex business processes and identify technology opportunities
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to influence and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups
Strong project management skills with experience managing large-scale, complex initiatives
