Responsibilities
Utilizing design software to produce detailed, and sometimes complex, drawings and plans for Roadway design projects
Utilizing advanced CAD techniques and tools to enhance drawings
Working with engineers and other designers to incorporate design changes and revisions
Organizing CAD files and project documentation and ensuring proper version control and distribution of files
Reading and interpreting construction plans
Assisting in the preparation of quantity takeoffs and materials lists
Applying a variety of specification regulations, policies and standards to assure compliance with various Federal, State and local rules and regulations
Performing other duties associated with the role
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in related field or equivalent knowledge and experience
4+ years of relevant experience working with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
Strong proficiency with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
Advanced proficiency with relevant design software
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
General working knowledge of construction materials and practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well with others
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Adobe/Bluebeam PDF Software
Must be able to read and write effectively with strong attention to detail
Preferred
Experience working as a CAD Technician in Roadway/Highway design is strongly preferred
