Intern (Environmental Health)
The City of Bloomington is seeking three individuals for an internship in Environmental Health from mid-May through August 2026. Interns will conduct rental housing inspections, inspect licensed public swimming pools, investigate city code violation complaints, and work in other environmental health areas as needed.

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or earning a degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Studies, Public Health, Biology, Chemistry, or related science field. If in the process of earning a degree in any of these fields, candidate must have completed at least their second year of the degree program by the start of the internship
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or equivalent
Experience inspecting public pools, licensed rental houses, or investigating city code violation complaints
Customer service experience
Knowledge of/familiarity with the City of Bloomington
