Mid LevelFerman Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM New Port Richey is seeking a Body Shop Mechanical Technician to join their Collision Center at Chevrolet Brandon. The role involves performing various mechanical repairs on vehicles and ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Perform Suspension, Alignments, Cooling, Air Conditioning, Electrical and Interior removal and replacement of damaged components
Inspect vehicles for damage and determine the necessary repairs
Assist in mechanical repairs such as full frame replacements, Removal and reinstallation of mechanical items such as air bags, instrument panels, electrical components and interior panels
Repair, replace, or adjust mechanical systems on vehicles, including suspension and steering components
Reassemble vehicles and test for proper functionality after repair
Ensure work is performed according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours
Work in close collaboration with other team members, including senior technicians, to ensure timely completion of repairs
Maintain a clean and organized work area to meet safety and quality standards
Communicate effectively to explain the nature of repairs and estimate timeframes
Qualification
Required
General mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with vehicle repairs
Proven experience in automotive body repair and or mechanical tasks
Familiarity with standard collision and mechanical tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift and move heavy parts and tools
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Must have a valid US government issued Driver's License, safe driving record and eligible to work in the United States
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test
