Responsibilities
Set and execute the company’s long-term vision, strategic roadmap, and growth objectives
Lead a complex, multi-market organization with a focus on operational consistency and performance
Drive standardization, systems alignment, and best practices across regions and asset classes
Ensure operational discipline around occupancy, NOI growth, resident experience, and cost controls
Maintain full enterprise-level P&L responsibility
Drive NOI optimization, margin expansion, and operational leverage
Lead the development and scaling of ancillary services and revenue streams
Identify new monetization opportunities that enhance portfolio profitability and resident value
Evaluate and execute organic growth, third-party management expansion, and M&A opportunities
Lead integration efforts for acquired portfolios and platforms
Serve as a key leader in investor, lender, and partner relationships
Set the cultural tone for a large, geographically dispersed workforce
Build leadership depth and succession planning across the organization
Ensure accountability, performance management, and leadership development at scale
Serve as the primary external representative of the company with owners, capital partners, boards, and industry stakeholders
Maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, private equity partners, and lenders
Represent the company at industry forums and strategic partner engagements
Strong leadership, decision making and communication skills
Qualification
Required
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in multifamily real estate or property management
Direct leadership experience overseeing 30,000+ units under management (50,000+ strongly preferred)
Prior role as President, CEO, or equivalent enterprise-level leader within a large multifamily or property management organization
Demonstrated success managing large, multi-state or national portfolios
Deep understanding of multifamily operations, asset performance, and resident services
Proven experience building and scaling ancillary revenue programs across a large portfolio
Strong financial acumen with full P&L ownership at scale
Track record of leading through growth, transformation, and operational complexity
Preferred
Experience leading an institutional or private equity–backed multifamily platform
Experience integrating acquisitions or scaling third-party management platforms
Strong familiarity with proptech, data analytics, and operational automation at scale
MBA or equivalent advanced degree
