The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s leading orchestras, recognized for its innovation and educational outreach. They are seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the accounting department in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable and other accounting tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist in processing Accounts Payable transactions accurately and timely

Copy & distribute check activity to Advancement

Complete check log weekly

Complete Cash Flow bank detail weekly

Distribute & track instrument insurance payments

Assist with ad hoc reports, projects, and other accounting tasks as needed

Qualification

Accounting principlesExcelAccounting softwareFinance experienceAttention to detailOrganizational skills

Required

Prefer Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, related field, or certifications in Accounting/Finance

1-3 years of finance experience

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Proficient on Excel and Accounting software, Sage Intacct a plus

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
