Responsibilities
Clean, review, and submit claims for senior living health providers (specifically assisted living and skilled nursing / nursing home providers)
Ensure coding and documentation compliance with CMS and payer-specific requirements
Track claim statuses and remittances
Work denials and follow up with unpaid claims proactively
Evaluate insurance operations and identify efficiency improvements
Analyze EOBs and post manual payments
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in billing, claims follow up, and denial management
Strong understanding of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, managed care plans, and private insurance billing
Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
Preferred
Certification in medical billing/coding (e.g., CPC, CCA) is a plus
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clearinghouses
Familiarity with payer portals (Availity, Navinet, Provider One, PaySpan, etc.)
