Responsibilities
Perform routine trending of system parameters to identify early signs of equipment issues
Work cross-functionally with schedulers, operators, and maintenance to ensure work needed for system reliability is performed at the right time and with proper quality
Perform routine system walkdowns to identify degrading equipment early
Review and update existing maintenance strategies to account for industry best practices and lessons learned from previous implementations of maintenance
Lead root cause evaluations and corrective action plans for equipment failures
Drive initiatives for long-term planning and life-cycle management of critical assets
Participate in industry benchmarking
Ensure compliance with Maintenance Rule (10 CFR 50.65) and SNC quality standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET accredited)
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Accepts ownership of assigned programs, projects, and tasks
Develops a strategy for optimum use of resources
Works through conflicts to create win/win situations
Holds self and others accountable for results
Values diversity and respects the dignity of every individual
Assumes personal responsibility for individual and company successes
Preferred
Proficiency in work management software [Maximo]
Familiarity with maintenance practices for mechanical components [pumps and/or valves]
Knowledge of causal analysis methodologies (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Root Cause Analysis) and predictive technologies
An ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions, based on experience and appropriate industry practices, in order to make timely decisions that might impact plant safety and reliability
