Director of Pharmacy
CyberX Info System is a not-for-profit organization seeking a Regional Pharmacy Director to lead pharmacy services across multiple healthcare facilities. The role involves overseeing clinical, operational, regulatory, and financial performance of pharmacy services while managing integration and optimization during a turnaround phase.
Responsibilities
Provide executive-level leadership and oversight for all pharmacy services across the region, including: Inpatient / acute care pharmacy, Ambulatory and clinic-based pharmacy services, Infusion and oncology pharmacy, Retail / outpatient pharmacy, Specialty pharmacy programs, 340B and contract pharmacy arrangements
Partner closely with the National VP of Pharmacy Services, corporate pharmacy leaders, and local hospital executives to design, implement, and continuously improve pharmacy services
Ensure safe, high-quality, and compliant medication-use processes across all sites
Maintain full accountability for pharmacy financial performance, including: Drug spend management, Operating and capital budgets, Productivity and staffing models, Revenue optimization and margin improvement
Lead pharmacy participation in integration of new sites, services, or programs following acquisition
Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies
Serve as the primary pharmacy liaison to regional and local executive leadership
Develop, mentor, and retain pharmacy leaders and staff across the region
Drive measurable results in quality, patient safety, service, and financial performance
Qualification
Required
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy
Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain), with ability to obtain licensure in additional states as needed
5–7 years of progressive hospital or health-system pharmacy experience with both clinical and operational scope
Minimum 3 years of formal pharmacy leadership experience (director, system, or regional level) with direct responsibility for: Staff, Budgets, Performance outcomes
Demonstrated experience overseeing or working closely with multiple pharmacy service lines, including inpatient, ambulatory, infusion, retail, and 340B/contract pharmacy
Proven track record in financial management, including operating and capital budgeting, drug cost control, and margin improvement
Experience managing or supporting multi-site or system-level pharmacy operations
Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and medication-use best practices
Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MS in Pharmacy Administration, or related)
PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership (HSPAL) residency or equivalent experience
Board certification (e.g., BCPS or other BPS specialty)
Prior regional, system, or corporate pharmacy leadership experience in a multi-hospital system
Direct experience with: 340B and contract pharmacy strategy design, Ambulatory, infusion, or specialty pharmacy program development, Pharmacy integration during acquisitions or service expansions
Familiarity with pharmacy and clinical information systems (e.g., Epic/Beacon or comparable EMR, CPOE, ADCs, IV workflow, inventory systems)
Experience collaborating with finance, revenue cycle, and compliance on charge capture, billing optimization, and audit readiness
