Motion Recruitment is seeking an Ansible/Python Automation Engineer to design and implement automation solutions for the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) platform. The role involves developing automation workflows, integrating APIs, and collaborating with internal teams to streamline operational tasks.

Responsibilities

Developing robust automation workflows to support platform configuration, policy updates, and operational tasks

Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing application integrations using RESTful and/or SOAP APIs, including authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), data transformation, and error handling

Strong ability to work with API documentation, create secure and scalable endpoints, and integrate third-party services or internal systems

Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger) and best practices for performance optimization and security compliance

Building integrations within management Python scripts and Ansible playbooks to interact with external systems (e.g., HashiCorp Vault)

Creating custom tooling to simplify administrative processes and reduce manual effort for day-to-day platform operations

Collaborating with internal teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions

Documenting automation architecture, processes, and usage guidelines to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer

Troubleshooting and optimizing automation scripts for performance and reliability
