Responsibilities
Research, design, develop, test, and implement UI/UX solutions for mobile and web platforms
Convert UX designs into technically feasible JavaScript/Java codebases
Ensure full ADA/WCAG/508 accessibility compliance , including mitigation best practices
Act as a designer-developer (SME) for high-visibility projects
Create clean, semantic, accessible HTML markup
Develop and support customer-facing design systems, including components, templates, and accessibility fixes
Collaborate with analysts, developers, and architects throughout the SDLC
Design and maintain wireframes, mockups, and design files
Participate in usability testing and UX reviews
Build responsive, reusable, and interactive UI components
Develop code libraries that meet W3C standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Stay current with UI frameworks, tools, and industry trends
Qualification
Required
ADA / WCAG / Section 508 Compliance
UI Front-End Development

Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, JavaScript, React, Vue, Angular
Experience with LAMP / MEAN / MERN stacks
Experience translating end-user needs into design solutions
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Strong collaboration skills with business and technical teams
Experience with Human-Centered Design (HCD) methodologies
Preferred
UI/UX or Web Development certifications
Experience in Electric & Gas Utility industry
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent relevant technical experience)
Experience with Adobe AEM, SharePoint, or WordPress
Exposure to modern front-end frameworks
Experience participating in Agile ceremonies
