RESEARCHER ASSOCIATE

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Researcher Associate to join their team. This role involves conducting complex studies and analyses in post-operative pain research, assisting with lab management, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Lab Manager with maintaining the lab recruitment, and advertising for activity taking place in the lab
Overseeing pilot projects for the lab involving in depth studies in the areas of Rest and Recovery and Ulcerative Colitis study in support of the lab goals
Assisting the Lab Manager and Principle Investigator in developing grant proposals as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Laboratory research experienceIRB document preparationData analysisCommunication skillsConfidentiality handling

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field OR Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience OR High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience required
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement

Preferred

Prior work in a laboratory with performing research work, along with ability to prepare and review IRB documents is preferred
