Responsibilities
Work with engineers and IT to improve processes and streamline data
Review data from daily well activity report, detailing cost, activity details
Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and dashboards to track information efficiently – e.g. cost/ft, failure tracking, etc. – ensuring both data integrity and accessibility
Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources to support calculations and reporting, collaborating with engineers and additional departments as needed
Conduct periodic data audits to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Prepare data and reports to assist engineers in tracking performance against targets
Assist in the preparation of reports, such as after-action reviews, and documentation for stakeholders
Work with accounting and engineers on accrual analysis and invoice approval
Improve and maintain AFE template and undertake preliminary AFE preparation
Support and maintain WellView application, including troubleshooting, testing, enhancements, and application renewals
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required; degree in Engineering, Geology, Math, Physics or a related field preferred
5+ years of experience in upstream operations and engineering required
Proficiency in WellView
Proficiency in SQL - Build and maintain usable queries, implement checks (null values, duplicates, etc.)
Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large datasets to analyze data efficiently and accurately, independently proofing work to minimize errors
Motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills able to work with limited guidance
Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to meet challenging deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
Experience with administrative functions in WellView, including UDL & Picklist Management
Experience with building and maintaining dashboards in Spotfire and/or Power BI
Experience writing Python code or similar coding language to solve business needs
Knowledge of oil and gas operations
