Chief Executive Officer
Haggai International is a global ministry dedicated to equipping strategically positioned Christian leaders to share the Gospel within their own cultures. The Chief Executive Officer serves as the strategic and spiritual leader of the ministry, responsible for guiding its direction, cultivating a Christ-centered culture, and ensuring the fulfillment of its mission.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership in developing ministry, organizational, and financial plans with the staff and Board of Trustees and ensure the organization has a long-range strategic plan to achieve its mission and makes consistent, timely progress toward it
Provide leadership and oversight for the development and execution of the three-year strategic plan and the annual planning process with the Strategic Leadership Team, ensuring achievement of annual goals
Serve as the primary spokesperson for the ministry with all stakeholder groups, communicating a clear and compelling vision that engenders trust and confidence in the work of the ministry and the leadership of the organization
Provide leadership that inspires and fosters collaboration, encouragement, innovation, and dedication among all team members, while driving performance and measuring results
Ensure the organization has the right infrastructure, processes, and systems in place to enhance operational capabilities, achieve increased efficiency and effectiveness across all departments, programs, and services of the ministry (for both current and future needs), and create appropriate metrics to systematically measure outcomes
Develop the leadership of the organization to maximize achievement of organizational goals and objectives and ensure leadership succession for key positions
Oversee the development of an annual budget and ensure effective stewardship and accountability of our resources, finances, and people, while remaining compliant with all government regulations
Provide leadership and oversight of fundraising to develop adequate resources to fund all ministry programs and initiatives; actively engage with the Advancement function to support fundraising through soliciting funds, speaking at events, and maintaining relationships with designated key life-giving partners
Ensure that the Transformational Giving Experience is institutionalized across all functions of the ministry
Provide spiritual leadership by creating and maintaining a Christ-centered culture
Ensure the values of our ministry are consistently lived out within the organization and among all stakeholders
Ensure that the culture is organizationally healthy, as defined by the Transformational Work Experience, to attract, motivate, inspire, and engage all team members to fully use their skills and talents in contributing to the mission and vision, while also fulfilling their professional goals
Ensure the trustees are kept fully informed on the ministry of the organization and the factors influencing it
Provide opportunities for all board members to contribute to achieving the organization’s mission and vision, using their gifts, talents, and experience through committee work and feedback to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team
Keep the Board Chair apprised of all aspects of the ministry by informing the Chair of significant accomplishments, major changes and opportunities, and critical challenges

Required
A spiritually mature leader whose identity is rooted in Christ and who maintains a strong relationship with the Triune God, modeling personal and professional integrity in all relationships and decisions
A proven servant leader marked by quiet confidence and spiritual maturity—someone who is filled with God's Spirit, consistently reflecting Christ through both word and deed, and naturally drawing others through humility and strength of character
A seasoned businessperson with experience leading multi-business unit organizations with international engagement
A leader capable of transitioning from a corporate culture into a Christ-centered ministry, while upholding sound business practices and financial stewardship
Passionately aligned with the mission and vision of the ministry and the Vision Council, demonstrating commitment to the long-term direction of the ministry
A visionary leader who can guide the executive leadership team while assuming leadership of the existing board-endorsed three-year strategic plan, eight-year long-term plan, and proven ministry model—maintaining alignment with the mission and vision
A results-driven executive who leads with a collaborative and relational style, holding others accountable for goals, objectives, and deliverables
An effective communicator with excellent speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills; highly relational across all levels of internal leadership and external stakeholder engagement
An experienced fundraiser who will dedicate a substantial amount of their time to fundraising activities, including individual donor meetings, speaking engagements, and small gatherings
A strategic thinker with a strong ability to facilitate planning, decision-making, and execution by leveraging the collective experience and wisdom of the team—especially within ministry programming
A proven leader in developing and maintaining a highly engaged workforce, fostering a transformational work experience and long-term commitment among team members
Must establish a synergistic and trusted working relationship with the COO
Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and executive presence, earning the respect of both internal teams and external partners
Brings a vision for sustained leadership, committed to shepherding the ministry through its next season of growth while cultivating enduring relationships and organizational continuity
Preferred
Experience or familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is preferred
