Embedded Software Intern
Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student for the Embedded Software Intern position. The intern will assist in various initiatives and projects, gaining exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment while developing software for battery management systems and other embedded systems.

Responsibilities
Software design areas may include but are not limited to: Battery Management Systems (BMS), Electronic Control Units (ECUs), Motor Controllers (MCU’s), DC/DC Converters, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
Maintain and enhance existing embedded software to improve reliability, performance, and compliance with updated standards. (UL1998, ISO26262, IEC61508, etc.)
Investigate and resolve software defects, field issues, and customer-reported problems, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions
Gain a foundational understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology
Develop effective communication skills by collaborating with team members and presenting findings to different stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related program
Must have reliable transportation to the office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
Excellent follow-through
Must be driven and self-motivated
