The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking an OFFICE SERVICES SPECIALIST III to provide administrative support within the Department of Genetics. This role involves serving as the first point of contact, managing office duties, and assisting with various departmental tasks.

Responsibilities
1st Point of contact for the Dept of Genetics Chair Office
Process payment requests for invoices and POs One Card Request Forms
Ordering lunch/refreshments for departmental events
Helps organize the Seminar Series Promotion and Tenure Coordinator Backup
Organizes faculty recruitment agenda
Manage conference room and admin calendars
Orders office supplies
One Card Request Forms for new Genetics employees
Physical Security request internal and external access
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience required
Preferred
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to manage various office administrative aspects
Precision and attention to detail
Ability to perform work accurately, efficiently and with minimal errors
Experience with Microsoft Office programs
Strong troubleshooting abilities
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work independently
Organizational skills/ Prioritization skills
Written and verbal communication skills
