Account Executive - Data Center Solutions (BMS, EPMS, SCADA)

Albireo Energy is seeking a National Account Executive who will be responsible for profitable and aggressive sales growth in the Data Center market. The role involves strategic account planning, complex solution selling, and building trusted relationships with key decision-makers to drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Develop multi-year account strategies for top-tier data center operators and hyperscale clients
Lead solution-based sales cycles involving integrated BMS, EPMS, and SCADA platforms tailored for mission-critical environments including construction methodology
Advise clients on energy efficiency, sustainability, and compliance initiatives leveraging advanced monitoring and analytics
Develop and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities using BMS with DDC products, SCADA using PLC products, and EPMS solutions for data center projects while maintaining margin objectives
Drive revenue growth by identifying and closing business with Data Center developers while leveraging and building relationships with general contractors and consulting engineers
Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers at all client types critical to our success
Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and marketing teams to craft value-driven proposals and ensure successful project execution while managing risk
Lead the support teams in building technical scopes of work, estimates, and proposals that clearly communicate the Albireo Energy's value proposition
Support consulting engineers with system design and control specifications during the pre-construction and design phases
Review and approve the estimate of material, labor, and subcontractor costs for automation/control system applications based on plans and specifications
Lead customer meetings, technical webinars, client workshops to showcase emerging technologies and methods, attend industry trade shows and conferences, and represent Albireo Energy at networking events
Travel 25- 50% to develop business, support customers, and maintain a strong market presence
Own the relationship with the end user by:
Negotiating price and contract terms with contractors, consultants, and end users to secure profitable projects
Acting as the sales lead for ongoing installations, service contracts, and maintenance offerings
Partnering with internal operations teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed customer expectations
Regularly update CRM with sales activities, forecasts, and account developments
Collaborate with other sales team members on strategic accounts and large pursuits
Provide local market knowledge with broad local contracting relationships to identify key partnerships and market dynamics
Attend sales meetings, training, and industry events
Meet or exceed annual sales and margin goals

Required

Proven track record managing large, multi-site or national accounts in mission-critical facilities
Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and NFPA requirements
Proven success in either the plan & spec or owner direct turnkey sales for BMS, EPMS or SCADA solutions
5+ years of experience in BMS, EPMS or SCADA solutions sales preferably in the Data Centers or other complex facility types
Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, & controls drawings
Understanding of building mechanical and electrical systems and the application of controls and monitoring solutions
Must embrace use of CRM tool for pipeline and activity management
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent degree with industry experience
