Associate Outsourced Chief Investment Office Team
Commonfund is a leading asset management firm that empowers educational institutions and other sophisticated investors to achieve their financial goals. The Associate will support investment and client-related requests, assist in managing client portfolios, and work cross-functionally to ensure high-quality responses for clients.
Responsibilities
Provide strong quantitative and analytical skills to support the Outsourced Chief Investment Officers (OCIOs)
Develop presentation materials and contribute during clients’ quarterly committee meetings
Undertake portfolio evaluation and analysis of client accounts
Assist with client interface – respond to inquiries and analytic requests from clients in a timely and accurate manner
Responsible for month-end portfolio review, rebalancing client portfolios, and cash flow analysis
Assist in generating asset allocation recommendations for current and prospective institutions by using portfolio modeling application
Assist with ad-hoc project requests from clients and senior staff
Provide education related to a client portfolio to new Board and Committee members and staff, as well as other groups as needed
Assist with development of charts, materials, and written communications in collaboration with our Marketing and Investment groups
Develop an in-depth knowledge of Commonfund’s investment strategies and program
Qualification
Required

Preferred
Four-year college degree
3-5 years experience in the investment or asset management industry
Strong analytical/problem solving skills, including use of spreadsheet/database software for quantitative analysis
A strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to complete assignments independently and on a timely basis
Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish broader goals and objectives
Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
Willingness to work after hours, when necessary, to accomplish work assignments
Knowledge of capital markets and asset management landscape
