Regional Sales Manager (Western US)
smaXtec Inc. is a leader in cutting-edge dairy technology, seeking a seasoned sales leader with deep dairy industry expertise. The role involves overseeing the sales team, executing sales strategies, and driving growth while fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership : Oversee sales team and execute sales strategies that drive growth across assigned region and team
Lead & Inspire Sales Team : Directly supervise, coach, mentor and empower sales team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of excellence
Recruitment & Performance Management: Support hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews, career development and act as a bridge between the sales team and senior leadership
Consultative Expertise: Equip the team with tools and insights to deliver tailored solutions that address customer challenges and build long-term partnerships
CRM & Data-Driven Insights: Ensure effective use of CRM systems for pipeline management, activity tracking, and actionable market intelligence
Goal Achievement: Drive the team to consistently surpass collective targets, contributing to organizational success and innovation
Market Insight & Forecasting : Provide valuable input on sales strategy, market trends, and forecasting to inform business decisions
Brand Representation : Represent smaXtec at trade shows, industry events, and customer engagements with professionalism and enthusiasm
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to deliver a seamless and positive customer experience
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 5+ years of sales experience within the dairy industry or related sectors, with a strong track record of exceeding targets is required
Previous leadership experience, including a minimum of 3 years managing a sales team in similar industry or market is required
Expert knowledge of dairy farming operations and associated technologies
Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills complement your ability to analyze customer needs and offer tailored solutions
Highly refined communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders and overcome objections
High energy, self-motivation and determination to succeed in a fast-paced environment
Strong time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple initiatives effectively
Established relationships within the dairy industry and reputation as a trusted advisor
Proficient in use of CRM systems, Microsoft Suite and related software
Valid driver's license, willingness to travel nationally and internationally, with motivation for sales in the field
Position is based out of California. Candidates must live in central California or within reasonable commute distance
