Responsibilities
Lead and mentor Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Software Engineers, and Data Engineers across multiple automation-centric programs
Own delivery of cross-team initiatives spanning: Scanning and ingestion automation, AI-assisted classification and workflow routing, Data engineering and transformation pipelines, SaaS operational and client-facing platforms
Apply AI-driven and rules-based orchestration patterns to improve throughput, accuracy, and operational visibility across records workflows
Define and execute technical strategy and architectural standards aligned with product and business goals
Drive modernization and scalability across distributed, event-driven, and API-based systems
Establish and maintain CI/CD, DevOps, reliability, performance, and security best practices across teams
Bring a systems mindset informed by environments such as: Warehouse or fulfillment automation, Physical and digital records management platforms, Document scanning, ingestion, and indexing systems
Ensure software solutions effectively orchestrate physical processes (scanning, storage, movement) and digital workflows (classification, metadata, retention, retrieval)
Partner closely with Product, Program, and Executive leadership on roadmaps, sequencing, and release planning
Manage team growth, capacity planning, and hiring to support delivery commitments
Communicate delivery status, risks, dependencies, and priorities with clarity and transparency
Qualification
Required
8–10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3–5+ years leading multiple development teams as an Engineering Manager or Director
Proven experience supporting automation-centric or data-intensive platforms, such as: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Records management or document processing platforms, Fulfillment, logistics, or scanning automation environments, AI-enabled workflow or orchestration systems
Experience scaling distributed engineering teams supporting SaaS and data platforms
Strong background in modern cloud-native development and Agile delivery models
Hands-on familiarity with React + Java production environments
Experience with workflow orchestration, data pipelines, or integration platforms
Ability to translate complex technical systems into clear business outcomes
Comfortable operating across engineering, operations, and executive stakeholders
Strong coaching mindset with a focus on growing leaders and teams
Preferred
Familiarity with AWS Glue, Step Functions, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools is a plus
