Responsibilities

Create and implement a comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy for the assigned industry, identifying target accounts, priority cloud solutions (e.g., migration, data modernization, AI/ML), and strategic partner alliances
Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert on industry-specific trends, regulatory changes, competitive landscape, and the application of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) to solve unique vertical challenges
Collaborate with Solution Architects and Senior Leaders to define, package, and refine cloud service offerings that are highly tailored to the specific needs and pain points of clients within the target industry
Proactively identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities for cloud consulting services within the target market
Employ a deep, consultative sales approach, focusing on understanding the client’s business outcomes and translating technical cloud capabilities into measurable business value (ROI)
Work closely with the sales team to build pipeline and create demand
Represent the firm at key industry conferences, events, and forums, elevating the firm’s profile as a leader in cloud-driven digital transformation for the sector

Required

10+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic sales, or consulting, with a significant portion focused on the technology or cloud sector
Proven experience and established network within the specific industry vertical (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare, Energy, etc.)
Strong understanding of core cloud computing concepts, services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and the value proposition of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding multi-million dollar sales targets in a professional services/consulting environment
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and business concepts to diverse audiences
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
Relevant Cloud Platform certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals)
Experience leading and mentoring a small team of business development sales professionals
