Starbridge Partners is a top US health care provider seeking a Senior Data Science Analyst to focus on data analytics in population health modeling. The role involves conducting various analyses to improve contract outcomes, predict care management needs, and forecast utilization trends while effectively communicating findings to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

Helping to model and forecast contract scenarios, measure ongoing performance and identify trends in performance to inform our clinical or contracting staff to improve contract outcomes

Conduct rigorous statistical/mathematical deep-dive analyses and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to Executive leadership

Helping to PREDICT, understand and prioritize at-risk members in need of care management

Help stratify membership to optimally use resources to focus on the patients most in need

Helping to FORECAST utilization trends and variations across the different categories of health care services to assist the medical directors to focus their efforts to maximize contract performance and clinical effectiveness

Required

5+ years of analytics at a Health Insurer, Health Care Provider, Accountable Care Organization, or similar

You will need an advanced analytics skillset. You are a pro at modeling with SQL (+ Tableau)

Ok with working with large, complex datasets and C-suite executives

BS/BA in a relevant quantitative field of study

5 to 10 years of analytics development in the Healthcare space

Strong data mining skills using tools like SQL (R, Python, SAS, etc.)

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex analysis and make recommendations based on statistical inferences. Experience with a wide variety of analytical or statistical methods

Working knowledge of a health care EMR such as Epic/Clarity, aCW, etc.; a payor claims system such as Facets, Amisys, etc.; or a hospital/provider system such as IDX, Soarian, etc

Knowledge of New York State Medicaid and CMS Medicare regulations and related reporting requirements such as STARS, QARR, MMCOR, MEDS, RAPS and HEDIS

Excellent oral and writing skills; ability to communicate effectively with varying audiences

Advanced interpersonal skills required to service internal and external clients effectively

Preferred

Knowledge of New York State Medicaid and CMS Medicare regulations and related reporting requirements such as STARS, QARR, MMCOR, MEDS, RAPS and HEDIS - a big PLUS
