Responsibilities
Develop and check detailed ICE design packages, including wiring diagrams, loop drawings, panel layouts, and conduit schedules
Interpret P&IDs and general arrangements to produce accurate design deliverables
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other designers to ensure alignment between design intent and field execution
Perform redline updates, drawing revisions, and BOM development with version control discipline
Route conduit and cable to NEC and NFPA codes, considering practical installation constraints
Support equipment and instrument specification, tagging, and standardization
Maintain and update drawing libraries, templates, and standard design blocks
Communicate design changes clearly across departments and to external vendors
Participate in design reviews and assist in resolving fabrication or installation issues
Support document control and drawing vault management per company procedures
Contribute to the development of GasTech’s ICE design standards and best practices
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or technical diploma in design/drafting or related field
minimum 5 years of ICE design experience in industrial or energy sectors
Familiarity with conduit fittings, NEC/NFPA codes, and industrial wiring practices
Ability to interpret and generate panel layout drawings, termination diagrams, and I/O schematics
Builds and maintains clear, professional communication among field technicians, engineers, and vendors
Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities
Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy and constructability
Preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or CADWorx
Experience with EPLAN or other electrical design tools
Solid understanding of instrumentation symbols, wiring conventions, and control system layouts
Experience in oil & gas or process plant design and exposure to ISO 9001 workflows
