Construction
Responsibilities
PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances
Simulation runs and process calculations
Relief valve sizing, hydraulics, line sizing
Process datasheets and discipline handoffs
Interface points with Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation
Show where rework happens, why it happens, and which steps can be automated
Qualification
Required
5+ years at an EPC, PMC, or owner-operator
Strong understanding of FEED and Detailed Design workflows
Experience with PFD and P&ID development
Experience running simulations in Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar tools
Knowledge of API, ASME, NFPA, ISA, or similar standards
Ability to spot inconsistencies across P&IDs, datasheets, and vendor packages
Clear understanding of cross-discipline dependencies
Preferred
Experience taking process design from concept to detailed engineering
Familiarity with flare system modeling, relief calculations, and hydraulics
Interest in AI or automation
