Pre-Engineered Metal Building Ironworker

Tecta America Commercial Roofing is committed to solving construction problems that benefit customers and the team. As an Ironworker, you will assemble and install pre-engineered metal buildings, ensuring precision and safety while contributing to the success of various projects.

Construction

Responsibilities

Take direction from the foreman and complete assigned daily tasks
Use tools such as hammers, levels, squares, circular saws, and impact drills
Read and follow basic blueprints
Fabricate and alter parts at job sites using shears, hammers, punches, or drills
Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets
Secure metal panels, connect steel mainframes and columns, and install siding and roofing
Operate mobile elevated work platforms (scissor lifts, boom lifts)
Cut insulation, frame doors and windows, and install fiberglass building insulation
Prepare and position materials for installation
Keep job sites clean and safe through debris control and organized work areas
Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment
Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule

Required

Structural construction background (wood framing, steel, post and beam, etc.)
Ability to lift/carry 75+ lbs, climb ladders up to 40+ ft, and work at heights
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely
Willingness to learn new skills and trades
Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
