Responsibilities
Assist with site/civil and environmental engineering design, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion & sediment control
Support stormwater management and water resources tasks, including hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and plan preparation
Assist with preparation of engineering drawings, technical memoranda, and permit applications for municipal and state agencies
Participate in field work and site inspections, including data collection, construction observations, and environmental assessments under supervision
Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and surveyors to support multidisciplinary consulting projects
Organize project data and assist with reports, calculations, and documentation
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university
Strong interest in environmental consulting, site development, and water resources
Basic understanding of civil engineering principles (grading, drainage, utilities, or stormwater)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team-oriented consulting environment
Preferred
Experience or coursework related to stormwater management, hydrology, or land use permitting
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or similar engineering software
Prior internship, co-op, or field experience in civil or environmental engineering
Knowledge of Connecticut environmental regulations or municipal permitting processes (a plus, not required)
