Responsibilities

Report on, process, and audit all revenues from utilization-based leases, including car-hire based leases, trip leases, and any and all other non-fixed-rate leases for owned and managed cars

Administer and update contract lease term rates via 3rd Party’s application(s)- RAILINC’s Car Hire Rate Negotiation Self Service and GE’s Account Receivable Contract Rate File

Audit and reconcile monthly car hire revenue exception reports for potential lost revenue, this would be determined by identifying uncollected car hire, ensuring accurate issuant of car hire claims, and problem resolution of the fleet’s error default rates changes

Generate (estimated) summary report(s) on the utilization-based lease deals, outlining current monthly car hire revenue and maintenance activity for Commercial Meeting overview

Provide ad-hoc analysis of Utilization lease’s car hire revenue and maintenance expense

Manager yearly revalidation through RAILINC’s Letter of Authorization (LOA) application of rail marks that GATX’s act as mark agent within the Industry to control revenue & expenses for owned and managed stenciled rail equipment

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

4-6 years of experience in various railcar leasing functions and/or railroad operations

Knowledge of utilization-based railcar leasing and related systems and processes (including Railinc systems and databases like UMLER and CHARM)

Understanding of rail industry rules and processes governing railcar utilization, including the Code of Car Hire Rules, the Code of Car Service Rules, circular OT-10, and other related rules and processes

Knowledge of SAP (minimum of 2 years of experience)

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
