Responsibilities

Strengthens alumni connections to Western Carolina University through leading engagement initiatives centered on the university’s academic colleges and affinity communities

Coordinates with Advancement and campus partners around communications and storytelling, volunteer involvement, giving opportunities, and events in ways that promote meaningful alumni participation

Supports college-based alumni engagement efforts by developing collaborative partnerships with advancement, engagement, and communications colleagues to design and deliver strategies aligned with academic priorities

Plans, promotes, and executes college-centered alumni events, programs, and recognition activities; supports affinity-based alumni communities through strategic guidance, volunteer development, and engagement initiatives; and works with advancement partners to identify alumni prospects for volunteerism, leadership, and philanthropy

Supports giving campaigns and major alumni events, managing assigned engagement portfolios, maintaining accurate engagement records, assessing outcomes and metrics to inform continuous improvement, and serving as liaison or support staff for designated Alumni Association committees

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions
