Responsibilities

Review and apply customer specifications to system design

Review architectural and other drawings to check for interferences and ensure clearance requirements are met

Participate in engineering meetings with customers and suppliers; may lead technical discussions during these sessions

Produce detailed mechanical installation drawings and bills of material for purchasing equipment

Create point load drawings and verify calculations such as horsepower and throughput

Review vendor equipment drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements

Provide technical guidance during detailed design to align with industry standards

Compile installation details, including supplier drawings and manuals, for field teams

Travel to job sites to verify field conditions as needed

Maintain project CAD files and create as-built documentation

Occasionally design custom parts or platforms required for material handling systems

Report project drawing status to the project engineer and support schedule adherence

Contribute to other engineering tasks as required
