Director of Franchise Development
Salons by JC has been empowering independent beauty and wellness professionals for over 25 years and is looking for a strategic leader in franchise development. The Director of Franchise Development will oversee the franchise development lifecycle, drive growth, and build strong relationships with potential franchise owners.
Responsibilities
Develop national and regional franchise expansion plans to meet annual unit and revenue goals
Identify priority markets and create territory strategies through demographic data, competitive insights, and growth modeling
Lead franchise resales and renewals to ensure smooth transitions and long-term success
Manage the full franchise pipeline, ensuring every prospect receives the signature Salons by JC white-glove experience
Conduct qualification calls, guide candidates through due diligence, and prepare them for Discovery Day and investment review
Present our brand story, competitive differentiation, and financial expectations with clarity and confidence
Recruit high-caliber franchise candidates who embody our brand values and operational excellence
Engage with franchise broker networks, lenders, and industry partners to increase qualified lead flow
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospects evaluating the salon-suite model and the SBJC brand
Partner with our legal team to maintain compliant FDD documentation, agreements, and state registrations
Ensure every stage of the sales process adheres to franchise regulations and brand standards
Work closely with Marketing to optimize franchise lead generation campaigns and refine our messaging
Partner with Operations and Real Estate teams to support onboarding and site development readiness
Ensure new franchisees are set up for exceptional long-term success at every phase of their journey
Monitor KPIs including lead velocity, conversion rates, and territory performance
Maintain detailed CRM reporting and supply leadership with weekly pipeline updates and quarterly forecasts
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor landscape (Sola, Phenix, MY SALON Suite), and market opportunities
Qualification
Required
5+ years in franchise development, business development, real estate development, or multi-unit expansion—preferably within the salon-suite, beauty, wellness, fitness, or co-working sectors
Proven track record of franchise sales success, including multi-unit deals
Experience working with franchise brokers, lenders, and development partners
Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
Consultative selling skills with the ability to guide candidates through complex investment decisions
Strong understanding of franchise regulations, FDD structure (including Item 19), and development processes
Ability to read and interpret financial models, unit economics, and ROI projections
Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, FranConnect) and demographic software(ie Placer.ai)
Strategic thinker with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel for conferences, and market visits
Experience with investment models requiring higher than average net worth and liquidity qualifications
