Responsibilities
Lead the rapid resolution of critical production issues, ensuring minimal service disruption and 24/7 operational support coverage when necessary
Own incident response processes: lead triage calls, communicate real-time updates to stakeholders, and document Root Cause Analyses (RCAs)
Develop and implement proactive Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to address and mitigate recurring technical issues
Serve as the primary technical escalation point for emergency support and after-hours system events
Architect, design, and implement high-quality, scalable backend and frontend solutions using Java, Spring, Hibernate, Python, and ReactJS
Guide the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis through release and support, ensuring reliability and performance at every stage
Actively contribute to codebase: perform peer code reviews, pair programming, and assist with complex bug fixes or feature development
Collaborate with Product Management and DevOps to define, scope, and deliver roadmap items and hotfixes on schedule
Team Lead cross-functional Agile engineers and QA members, facilitating ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and demos
Mentor engineers, fostering growth in areas such as system design, debugging strategies, cloud architecture, and performance tuning
Establish and refine development best practices, code quality standards, and CI/CD workflows relative to DevOps and SRE experience
Monitor and improve engineering KPIs such as code quality, feature velocity, system uptime, and incident recovery time
Leverage agentic AI tools and frameworks to streamline operational processes and accelerate deployment cycles
Identify areas for architectural optimization, technical debt reduction, and service resiliency improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field required
5+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years of hands-on development with Java & Spring Framework
2+ years of experience with Python scripting, APIs, or automation tools
3+ years of engineering experience in AWS environments (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.)
Minimum 1+ year of professional AI enhanced development
Some hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, automated testing, and monitoring/logging tools is a PLUS
Knowledge of microservices, API design, and system integration
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Calm under pressure and capable of leading others through high-stakes incidents
Growth mindset and ability to mentor and uplift others
