Sr. PeopleSoft Functional Analyst

Neos Consulting Group is seeking a Sr. PeopleSoft Functional Analyst for a contract role with their client in Austin, TX. This position involves working in an Agile/SCRUM environment to support the conversion from a legacy PeopleSoft application to a cloud-hosted solution, requiring strong functional analysis skills and technical acumen.

Responsibilities

Conducting daily stand-up meetings in an Agile/SCRUM environment
Maintaining the Azure DevOps application in accordance with ERS standards in support of a conversion from the legacy PeopleSoft application to a cloud hosted replacement
Demonstrating knowledge and skills in both the functional and technical aspects of PeopleSoft
Mapping of data fields and performing root-cause analysis in the legacy PeopleSoft application
Researching processing requirements between other systems – both upstream and downstream
Communicating with top level management and developers
Conversing with users at the functional level and with developers at the technical level
Reading PeopleCode, writing SQL, and analyzing data
Performing other duties as assigned

Required

Comfortable working in an Agile/SCRUM environment conducting daily stand-up meetings
Maintaining the Azure DevOps application in accordance with ERS standards
Demonstrate knowledge and skills in both the functional and technical aspects of PeopleSoft
Heavy Functional Analyst skills
Solid experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment as part of a data conversion team
Mapping of data fields and performing root-cause analysis in the legacy PeopleSoft application
Impeccable oral and written communication skills
Solid experience with the integration of the core modules within the PeopleSoft HRMS 8.8 application (HRMS, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Payroll)
Experience researching processing requirements between other systems – both upstream and downstream
Confident conversing with top level management and developers
Confident having detailed conversations with users at the functional level and developers at the technical level
Ability to accurately read PeopleCode, write SQL, and analyze data
Experience on data conversion projects
Hands-on project team lead experience
Substantial experience as a functional resource in Benefits Administration, Payroll, or Pension Administration modules
Past development experience with PeopleSoft code, SQL, Application Engine and SQR programs
Ability to determine how a page or Application Engine is processing data
5+ years Project Team experience utilizing Agile Methodologies
6+ years Experienced in gathering requirements towards changes to the PeopleSoft application
6+ years Demonstrated current hands-on functional experience in one or more of the following PeopleSoft modules: HRMS, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Payroll
6+ years The most recent six years must have been working exclusively as a PeopleSoft Functional Analyst
8+ years Solid understanding of technical aspects of the PeopleSoft application
5+ years Strong SQL skills, ability to write and execute advanced SQL in both Oracle and SQL Server
5+ years Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
10+ years Working in Information Technology

Preferred

2+ years Past experience as a developer in one or more of the following PeopleSoft modules: HRMS, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Payroll
2+ years Solid PeopleTools skills, including Application Engine, PeopleCode, and SQR
3+ years Ability to manage a Scrum or Kanban team
5+ years Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
5+ years Experience in prior implementations/conversions from a legacy PeopleSoft application
5+ years Experience with Defined Benefit Pension Plans
5+ years Defined Benefit Pension Plan knowledge to understand data requirements and use
5+ years Experience with Base Benefits or Benefits Administration systems
5+ years Experience with Pension Administration systems
5+ years Experience with Payroll Systems
10+ years Provide expert troubleshooting for isolating functional / technical problems
