Responsibilities
Serve as Senior Engineer on a wide variety of municipal wastewater projects
Review conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses
Review detailed engineering reports and supporting documents
Review construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on reports and design projects
Develop and review engineering interpretations of specifications and drawings and recommend design modifications
Resolve technical questions and plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff engineers
Provide construction support services, including field meetings, submittal reviews, shop drawing reviews, and RFIs
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering with a focus on water/wastewater
Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado
Minimum of 15 years of experience with water and wastewater treatment projects
Experience with jurisdictional and regulatory permitting
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Preferred
Design experience with pipe materials, valves, and pumps
Experience with hydraulic system calculations, pump stations, pressure pipelines, storm and sanitary sewer pipelines, and water/wastewater treatment plants
Previous experience in business development
Active membership and participation in professional organizations such as RMWEA or RMSAWWA
