Federal Funds Analyst

The Federal Funds Analyst will be responsible for the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reporting, working closely with program areas to ensure compliance and assist with data collection and federal reporting.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the collection, organization, analysis, and preparation of FFATA reports. (50%)
Consults with internal stakeholders to resolve reporting problems, discuss reporting procedures, identify training needs, and develop training as needed. (15%)
Analyzes federal guidance and legislation to develop recommendations for issues relating to the implementation and/or improvement of HHSC FFATA reporting policies and procedures.(10%)
Ensures compliance with FFATA reporting federal policies and procedures, statutes, and rules; and takes corrective action(s) as needed. (10%)
Analyzes FFATA-related requests from auditors, both internal and external, and gathers necessary information to respond to requests in a timely manner. (10%)
Produces ad hoc reports and analysis as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. (5%)

Required

Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major coursework in business administration or a related field
Minimum three (3) years' experience in the following areas: working in financial services and with general accounting principles and financial reports; interpreting guidelines, policies, procedures, and regulations; experience working under minimal supervision in an atmosphere where many projects were managed effectively and project deadlines were met
Minimum three years' experience related to the administration of federal funding
Three years' experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Minimum five (5) years' experience with communicating orally and in writing to communicate with others inside and outside of an organization for the purpose of giving and obtaining information
