Responsibilities
Perform or assist with new installations and / or life cycle upgrades for shipboard ADP IT networks and equipment
Provide shipboard training to crew members as necessary for LAN and IT Equipment operation
Interface and coordinate daily regarding planned activities with customer representatives, shipboard personnel, other contractors providing specialized LAN or network communications support
Prepare and provide daily work reports
Respond to queries for ad hoc data and network configuration and inventory reports
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience providing general infrastructure support
Experience responding to and updating trouble calls utilizing HELIX
Experience performing break-fix troubleshooting and analysis of problems
Experience performing repair activities to return equipment, systems or networks to normal operational status
Experience with new installations and/or life cycle upgrades for shipboard ADP IT networks and equipment
Ability to provide shipboard training to crew members for LAN and IT Equipment operation
Experience interfacing and coordinating daily with customer representatives, shipboard personnel, and other contractors
Ability to prepare and provide daily work reports
Ability to respond to queries for ad hoc data and network configuration and inventory reports
Knowledge and/or skillset in Windows Server (2008r2/2012/2016) /desktop Operating Systems (7/10)
Knowledge and/or skillset in virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtual Server
Knowledge and/or skillset in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange (2007/2010/2016)
Experience with migration from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016
Knowledge and/or skillset in Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration
Knowledge and/or skillset in LAN Routing and Switching configuration and troubleshooting
Experience with server builds using server 2008r2 preferred 2016
Knowledge and/or skillset in Cat5/fiber
Possess or be able to possess IAT II, in coordination of IAWF DoD 8570.01M
Possess or be able to obtain an operating system certification that correlates to systems installed onboard vessels
Progressive IT experience (5 years)
Must report to the office daily
