Wafer Equipment Engineer II
Seagate Technology is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join their Wafer Equipment Engineering Services in Bloomington, MN. The role involves developing and deploying wafer processing equipment, overseeing installation and maintenance, and providing technical support to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
Be responsible for development and deployment of Wafer Processing equipment for manufacturing
Use scientific knowledge and formal systems to find practical solutions to daily problems. This consists of working with direct complex operations geared toward gaining efficiency, productivity, and accuracy
Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues
Evaluate equipment performance and reliability and take appropriate action
Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Develop primary or secondary tool data collection through the implementation of software integration to improve tool performance (SQL / Python / R / .NET / AI)
Implement equipment control strategies using factory automation to improve equipment performance metrics
Work on-site at our Bloomington, MN facility
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience in wafer manufacturing and semiconductor production equipment
Experience with statistical analytic tools, Six Sigma, JMP or Minitab or other statistical software
Demonstrated experience with Photolithography, Electromagnetic Plating, Metrology, or Inspection equipment
Experience in computer hardware and/ or programming
Bachelor's degree in engineering related field (i.e. Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Materials, Physics, or Information Technology) and 2+ years of experience or master's degree in the same and 0+ years' experience or PhD and 0+ years' experience or equivalent experience and education
Strong written and verbal skills; ability to persuade and gain agreement with cross functional teams
Willing to work off shift hours on an 'as need' basis
